This model represents the Lufthansa 747-400, registration D-ABVL, "München" as it appeared in 2007 with the standard fleet livery. Lufthansa introduced this fleet livery in 1989.
Flight Miniatures® released this model in June 2008 and it is our second Lufthansa 747-400 model. It features a different registration number and additional details from the previous model.
In May 1986, Lufthansa ordered three 747-400s, helping to launch this new version of the Boeing 747. Lufthansa placed its first Boeing 747-400 into service in 1989 and as of 2008 the airline operates 30 in their fleet. Lufthansa was the first European airline to equip its entire Boeing 747-400 fleet with a satellite-based navigation system, allowing cockpit crews to fly aircraft more flexibly and independently of the ground.
