This model represents the first Boeing 727-100, registration N7001U, as it appeared in 1962 in the Boeing Roll Out livery. The InFlight 200 production of this model was 576 pieces worldwide, released in November 2007 and features a polished metal fuselage.
On November 27th, 1962, the first Boeing 727-100 N7001U (E1) was rolled out of the hangar this was the first of 1,832 Boeing 727s to be built at the Boeing Renton plant. The maiden flight for N7001U was made on February 9th, 1963, with the flight test crew of Capt. Lew Wallick, Co-Pilot Dix Loesch, Flight Engineer M.K. Shulenberger, taking off from the Renton Airport then going on to making its first landing at Paine Field, Everett, Washington.
