This model represents the Lufthansa 727-200 "Karlsruhe" registration D-ABCI (cn 20430), as it appeared in 1983 with a hybrid bare metal livery. It is speculated that the Lufthansa bare metal livery was a test to see if it could save money, this aircraft and a 737-200 (D-ABHX) both flew with the bare metal livery for a short period of time. The InFilght 200 production release of this model is May 2007 with 480 pieces produced worldwide and features a polished metal fuselage.
